Québec City to La Pointe Rouge lookout

Leaving Québec on the ferry I felt like I was joining a Tour de France peloton. So many cyclists. Luckily the multitude of cyclists was due to an excellent cycle network on the opposite side of the river. I followed the cycle path and quiet roads with a strong wind at my back. At last!

As I travelled north I noticed a scent I had not come across in a long time – it was the sea! A sure sign I’m on the home straight. As I neared my planned campground I came across a perfect camping spot on the coast and decided to end my day a little early. It was a beautiful spot made more spectacular by another breathtaking sunset. As usual the photos are inadequate. To celebrate making it to a coast (not my destination coast) I took a briny skinny dip in lieu of a shower.
